Mike Easler, known throughout baseball as “The Hit Man,” brings a rare combination of Major League playing experience, professional coaching background, and proven hitting knowledge to every lesson. Easler played 14 seasons in Major League Baseball with the Houston Astros, California Angels, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, and Philadelphia Phillies. Over his career, he hit .293 with 1,078 hits, 118 home runs, and 522 RBI. He was a member of the 1979 World Series champion Pittsburgh Pirates, hit .338 with 21 home runs in 1980, and was selected to the 1981 MLB All-Star Game. After his playing career, Easler became a respected hitting coach at both the Major League and minor league levels. He served as a hitting coach for the Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, and Los Angeles Dodgers, along with several minor league organizations. His coaching career included work with high-level professional hitters, including Mo Vaughn, who developed into one of the American League’s most feared hitters and later won the 1995 American League MVP Award. For a parent looking for hitting instruction, Easler offers more than drills. He brings decades of experience from the batter’s box, the clubhouse, and the coaching cage. He understands what it takes to build a hitter’s swing, approach, confidence, and discipline. His background allows him to teach young players not only how to hit, but how to think like a hitter. Working with Mike Easler gives a young player the chance to learn from someone who has succeeded at the highest level of the game and has helped other hitters do the same. His lessons are built on real baseball experience, clear instruction, and a deep understanding of what makes a swing work.
