Daniel Federman is a professional baseball pitcher from Pembroke Pines, Florida. A right-handed pitcher who bats left, he played high school baseball at Archbishop McCarthy before continuing his career at the University of Miami. At Miami, Federman became a reliable and versatile arm for the Hurricanes, pitching in a variety of roles and eventually serving as a team captain. He was also recognized for his academic work, earning All-ACC Academic honors during his college career. After college, Federman signed with the Baltimore Orioles organization in 2021 and began his professional career in the minor leagues, pitching for affiliates including the Delmarva Shorebirds and Aberdeen IronBirds. Federman has also represented Team Israel in the World Baseball Classic. One of the most notable moments of his career came during the 2026 tournament, when he threw two scoreless, hitless innings against the Dominican Republic. The outing came against a lineup filled with Major League talent, including Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto, Manny Machado, Ketel Marte, Junior Caminero, Carlos Santana, and Oneil Cruz. Federman retired Tatis Jr., Marte, and Soto in order, then worked through the next inning without allowing a run. That performance stood out as a strong example of Federman’s poise and competitiveness. His career has included college baseball at a major ACC program, professional experience in the Orioles system, and international competition against some of the best players in the game.
